Privacy policy

Privacy policy

Effective date: September 17, 2026

Milaude LLC (“Milaude,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit milaude.com, join our waitlist or mailing list, make a purchase, or communicate with us (together, the “Services”), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to information collected online through the Services; it does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to, which have their own policies.

If you have questions at any time, contact us at care@milaude.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and account details — name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, phone number, and, if you create an account, your login credentials and preferences.
  • Order information — the products you buy, order history, and delivery details.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Shopify Payments and the payment providers it supports (for example, card networks, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal). They collect your card or payment details directly. We receive confirmation of payment, the payment type, and the last four digits of your card; we do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Communications — what you tell us when you email us, use our contact form, respond to a survey, or leave a review.
  • Marketing preferences — whether you have joined our mailing list or waitlist, and your opt-in or opt-out choices.
  • Reviews and other content you choose to submit.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information — IP address, browser type, device type and identifiers, operating system, language, and referring URL.
  • Usage information — the pages you view, products you look at or add to your cart, links you click, how long you spend on the site, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Location — approximate location inferred from your IP address (city/region level).

This information is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies operated by us and by our service providers. See Section 3.

Information from other sources

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and provides checkout, fraud-prevention, and analytics services, and which may provide us with information about your interactions with our store.
  • Payment and fraud-prevention providers, which may confirm payment details or flag transactions.
  • Shipping and fulfillment partners, which provide delivery status.
  • Marketing and analytics providers and social media platforms, if you interact with our ads or content on those platforms, subject to your settings with them.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, precise geolocation, health information, or information about race, religion, or sexual orientation, and we ask that you not send it to us.

Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram); TikTok Pixel; Pinterest Tag; Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing; Shopify Audiences

We may add, remove, or change these technologies as our marketing tools evolve. Any technology we use will fall within one of the categories above, and we will update this policy when a change is material.

Your choices

  • Opt-out preference signal. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser or device, and, where we can associate it with your account, for your account as well. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
  • Cookie settings. You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie preferences link in our site footer and through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from working.
  • Opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising. Use the “Your Privacy Choices” / “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our footer, or email care@milaude.com with the subject “Privacy Choices.” You can also opt out of Shopify’s cross-merchant personalized advertising at privacy.shopify.com.
  • Platform controls. Advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, and Pinterest offer their own ad-preference settings, and industry tools are available at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, which have no common standard, other than GPC as described above.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it in the following ways:

  • Service providers who process information on our behalf and under contract: Shopify (store hosting, checkout, analytics, and fraud prevention); Shopify Payments and its payment partners; our fulfillment center and shipping carriers (to pack and deliver your order); Klaviyo, our email and text-message platform (to send communications you have agreed to receive and to measure engagement); analytics and website-hosting providers; customer-support tools; and professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
  • Advertising partners and social media platforms, through the pixels and tags described in Section 3, so that we can show you Milaude advertising and measure it. Under some state laws this is a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or “targeted advertising,” and you can opt out as described above. These partners use information under their own privacy policies.
  • Shopify’s enhanced features. See Section 6.
  • Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a government request; to enforce our Terms of Use and policies; to detect or prevent fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Milaude, our customers, or others. This includes reporting adverse events to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration where required, which may include information about the person affected.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred as one of the business assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
  • With your direction or consent, for example when you ask us to share information with a third party or use a social-media login or sharing feature.

We may also share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it does not identify you.

5. Marketing communications

Email

We send marketing emails only to people who have signed up for our waitlist or mailing list, created an account with marketing consent, or made a purchase and agreed at checkout to receive them. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we process opt-outs within 10 business days. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional emails about orders you have placed.

Text messages

If we offer text messages, we send marketing texts only if you separately opt in by providing your mobile number and agreeing to our text-message program terms. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to text messages is not a condition of purchase.

Abandoned-cart reminders

If you begin checkout, provide your email address or phone number, and have consented to marketing, we may send you a reminder about the items in your cart. You can opt out at any time using the link or STOP instruction in the message.

6. Our relationship with Shopify

Our online store is built on Shopify, a commerce platform, and Shopify processes personal information on our behalf to provide and secure the store, process payments, prevent fraud, and provide us with analytics. Information you enter on our site is transmitted to Shopify’s systems, which may be located in the United States, Canada, or other countries.

We also use certain Shopify features that draw on information Shopify has collected about shoppers across its platform — for example, Shop Pay (which lets you check out faster using details Shopify has stored) and Shopify Audiences (which helps us find people likely to be interested in our products). For those features, Shopify uses information about your interactions with our store together with information from other Shopify merchants, and Shopify, rather than Milaude, decides how that information is processed and is responsible for responding to requests about it. You can read Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers and exercise choices about Shopify’s processing at privacy.shopify.com.

7. Children

Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at care@milaude.com and we will delete it.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above. In general: order and payment records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law (typically seven years); account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward; marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe and for a short period afterward to honor your opt-out; and records relating to product-safety reports are kept for the period required by the Food and Drug Administration. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of the tools we use, typically 14 to 26 months. When information is no longer needed we delete or de-identify it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, and we rely on Shopify’s PCI DSS-compliant infrastructure for payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and avoid sending payment card numbers or other sensitive information to us by email.

10. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights under state privacy laws. Milaude extends the following rights to all U.S. residents regardless of whether a particular law applies:

  • Access / know — to confirm whether we process your personal information and to receive a copy, including the categories collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to.
  • Correct — to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete — to have your personal information deleted, subject to legal exceptions (for example, we must keep records of completed transactions).
  • Portability — to receive your information in a portable, readily usable format.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising — as described in Section 3.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny you products, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.

How to exercise your rights

Email care@milaude.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or write to us at the address in Section 14, describing the right you wish to exercise. To protect your information we will need to verify your identity, usually by matching the email address and order details you provide against our records; we may ask for additional information where a request is sensitive. You may authorize an agent to make a request for you; we will require proof of the authorization and may need to verify your identity directly. We respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days where permitted), and we will tell you if we need more time.

If we decline your request in whole or part, we will explain why. You may appeal by replying to our response with the word “Appeal” in the subject line; we will respond to appeals within 45 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

California residents

If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to Milaude, the following additional disclosures are made. In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1 (identifiers; customer records such as name, address, and payment information; commercial information; internet or network activity; and inferences drawn from these) from the sources described there, for the purposes in Section 2, and disclosed them to the categories of recipients in Section 4. We “share” identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you may opt out as described in Section 3. We do not sell personal information for money, do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit, and do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code §1798.83) permits you to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing; we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Nevada residents

Nevada residents may direct us not to sell their covered information, as “sale” is defined under Nevada law. We do not sell covered information as so defined, but you may submit a request to care@milaude.com.

11. Visitors from outside the United States

Milaude is based in the United States and the Services are directed to U.S. customers. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country. By using the Services you understand that your information will be handled as described in this policy.

12. Third-party links and social media

The Services may link to third-party websites and social media platforms, and our pages may include social sharing features. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Information you share on social media, including comments on our posts, is governed by that platform’s policy and may be visible to others.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date; if a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will notify you by email or a prominent notice on the site before it takes effect.
